Awards And Achievements

Both Saman and Thushan Upasena have won many accolades for their outstanding business practices and entrepreneurial prowess.Tea remains the centre focus of the entire group, with eight state of the art factories in the Sabaragamuwa Province contributing to 12 million kilograms of tea per year. The company produces almost six percent of the country’s low grown tea production, and four percent of Sri Lanka’s entire tea production. With the highest sales achievements at the Colombo Tea Auction for a period of 20 years, it has received international certifications, including CQC 2 star award by the Sri Lankan Tea Board, Ethical Tea Partnership, HACCP food safety standard and ISO 22,000.
